PERSON 01
For the first chapter of Ten Minutes, I invited a participant to spend ten uninterrupted minutes by the lake.
There was nothing she needed to accomplish. No particular way she needed to behave or feel. For ten minutes, she was simply asked to be present.
She walked along the water, played, laughed, and allowed herself to experience the environment around her while I quietly photographed and recorded the moment.
After the ten minutes ended, I asked her:
“What did you experience during those ten minutes?”
Her response:
“Just 10 minutes spent in nature made me feel incredibly relaxed. Amidst the chaos of city life, I realized how hurried we all are, often oblivious to the passage of time. By taking a moment to sit without rushing, taking a deep breath, and appreciating the beauty surrounding us, I found a profound sense of calm. It helped me relax a lot. Even a simple 10-minute break from our daily routines can have a remarkable impact on our wellbeing.”
